With my project, I have the ideal aim of people using this website as a home page for their browser that allows them easy access to the sites and services they visit daily as well as a way to connect with their friends as a hub of their online activity.

After essentially a solid weekend trying to get Ruby on Rails to work on Windows so I can actually learn it, finally I gave up trying and have loaded it all up on Ubuntu instead.

It’s been a few months, but Charmed Designs is now back in action and rocking a whole new look.
Following a bit of a server disaster in the summer, a lot of data was lost across all of my websites – including this one. I had a lot of the static data, like the design – but had utterly lost the dynamic data – the database. It was apparent that the only solution was to rebuild the entire website. So, I redirected the domain to another of my sites and ignored it for a few months, obviously.
